Kentucky NFL draft

BBNFL: 2023 Draft, Free Agency, and Rookie Minicamp Recap

The 2023 NFL Draft was yet another success for Head Coach Mark Stoops who continues to produce NFL Talent year in and year out, unlike anything we’ve ever seen before at Kentucky.

Here were the results from this year’s draft.

Will Levis: Round 2 – Pick #33

Levis slipping was certainly a surprise to everyone, but his situation worked out at a great organization down in Music City. We just know he’s going to kill it at the Pro Level and silence all of the doubters once and for all.

Chris Rodriguez Jr.: Round 6 – Pick #193

CRod will team up with former Cat Jamin Davis in Washington, as the Commanders selected him in the 6th round. Truly one of the greatest careers by a Wildcat ever we will certainly miss him.

Carrington Valentine: Round 7 – Pick #232

Carrington will join the Packers amidst a new QB era in Green Bay – something that doesn’t happen all too often. He has all the tools to be an elite DB in the NFL, and he joins a long list of Stroop-era players at that position to hear their name called in the draft.

Free Agent Cats

Plenty of our guys signed deals with teams as undrafted free agents as well.

Rookie Minicamps

We also had a few guys accept invitations to Rookie Minicamps.

Hopefully, all of our guys are able to make rosters and get paid this coming fall!
